Listen Help

We’re excited to provide a completely new detroitsports1051.com that enhances our online listen live streaming capabilities to now include mobile phones and tablets. Our new tuner is resident on every page of our site. Feel free to explore the site while listening. Simply click on the Listen Live button on the right-hand side of any page, login if necessary, and you’ll be listening in no time.

Why Do I Need To Register To Listen?

You’ll notice that there’s a one-time registration process to listen to our live stream online. MVP Club members can simply login to and start listening.

If you’re not a member yet, we’re looking forward to having you join the fun. We’ve made the process very quick, by giving you the option to register using your Facebook, Twitter or Google+ accounts.

Additionally, once you’re logged in, we try very hard to remember you for up to 1 year, so that you don’t need to log in every time you want to listen, enter contests and access MVP Club exclusives.

If you explicitly log out, clear your browser cookies, or access the site from a new device, you will be asked to log in again.

If you choose to log in with your Facebook, Twitter or Google+ accounts, don’t worry, we won’t post anything to your social accounts without your prior consent.

Our main goal of providing social login is to make it easier for you to log in and join the detroitsports1051 MVP Club and not have to remember yet another password.

Why Can I Not Hear Streaming of Live Sports Play-by-play?

Detroit Sports 105.1 is licensed to broadcast many of the nation's top sporting events. However, many of these licenses do not include streaming.
Pistons
You can hear play-by-play of the Detroit Pistons on-air and on the Detroit Sports 105.1 live stream if you listen 1.) within a 75-mile radius of Detroit and 2.) using either the Detroit Sports 105.1 website or app. The stream will not play during game times if you are not in the Detroit area or using other software to stream.

I can’t listen live to the online stream.

If you’re having trouble listening to our stream, please make sure that:

  • You have JavaScript enabled in your web browser.
  • You have disabled any ad blocking plugins or extensions that you might be running. You will have issues logging in and listening if you have an ad block extension enabled for detroitsports1051.com or any of the other services it utilizes under the covers.
  • We know of an incompatibility with Firefox on Windows XP and Windows Vista that will prevent you from listening with that combination. While we’re working on a fix, you can install Google Chrome and you’ll be all set.

If you’re good on the requirements above, please follow these steps to get help:

  1. If you’re logging in from a desktop computer, the new detroitsports1051.com was built with modern web browsers in mind. Ideally, that means the latest version of Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer browsers. If you’re still using a browser like Internet Explorer 8 or earlier, you may experience degraded performance and features on the site.
  2. If you’re logging in from your mobile phone or tablet, please ensure that you have the latest updates installed to your device. Instructions for doing this vary widely by manufacturer, but we’re happy to help you out if we can point you in the right direction.
