The Wolverines and Spartans were busy on National Signing Day. Five-star defensive tackle Rashan Gary, who was the No. 1-ranked prospect in America, signed his national letter of intent with Michigan before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The 6-foot-4, 293-pounder from Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey is one of 28 new players announced by the Wolverines yesterday. Jim Harbaugh said they did not use any gray shirts, as all signed players will begin their eligibility immediately. Michigan State listed 22 players among their signees. The Spartans latest class is currently ranked anywhere from No. 18 to No. 21 by the four major recruiting services: No. 18 (Scout.com), No. 19 (Rivals.com), No. 21 (247Sports) and No. 21 (ESPN.com).
