The Pistons have signed PG Lorenzo Brown out of the D-League to a 10-day contract. The 6'5" Brown has played 8 games in the NBA this year for the Pheonix Suns; scoring 2.5 points a game and 1.2 dimes. The signing comes just days after the pistons let PG Justin Harper go. The move is more for insurance now that Harper is gone and Reggie Jackson has come down with an illness.
Stan Van Gundy spoke on Jackson's availability:
“He’s at the doctor's today -- he didn’t practice,” “Reggie was a little sick last night, and Spencer (Dinwiddie) is available, by what he says, but not 100%."
“So just to sort of protect ourselves, in case Reggie isn’t able to go at some point, something like that -- I think he’ll be able to -- but to protect ourselves, we didn’t want to get caught when our third (guard) isn’t 100%.”
The Pistons take on the Sacramento Kings tonight at 7:30. You can hear the game right here on the home for the Detroit Pistons, Detroit Sports 105-1.
