With the 16th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft... The Detroit Lions select...... Braxton Miller, wide receiver, Ohio State.....
Wait, what?
Yes, Sporting News is saying that the Detroit Lions are going to select Miller to try and replace Calvin Johnson... Here is what they had to say:
"Miller isn't a project as a receiver, and he's potentially a better version of Randall Cobb as an explosive receiving threat. He won't be able to replace Johnson's elite red-zone and jump ball capabilities, but he can give this team a vertically-threatening option in their efforts to have some offensive stability."
Miller finished this past season, his first as a wide receiver with 26 receptions for 341 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 42 carries for 260 yards and one touchdown.
It's interesting as top wide receiver in the draft LaQuon Treadwell is being picked by San Francisco in this mock. Miller's fellow Ohio State teammate Michael Thomas is listed as heading to Minnesota, and Corey Coleman from Baylor headed to Cincinnati in this mock.
