Purdue Shocks MSU

The Spartans came up short last night at Purdue, 82-81 in overtime. With five seconds left in OT and the score tied at 81, MSU’s Denzel Valentine was called for a foul while trying to get around a perimeter screen. Rapheal Davis then hit a free throw to win it for the Boilermakers. Denzel Valentine finished with 27 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Spartans. Purdue broke a seven-game losing streak in the series. It's also Purdue's first win over a top-10 team since they beat No. 2 Ohio State 76-63 on Feb. 2, 2011. Michigan State hosts Indiana on Sunday.
