Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist filed for salary arbitration on Sunday. Detroit also signed restricted free-agent Landon Ferraro to a one-year contract. Nyquist, who had 54 points (27 goals, 27 assists) in 82 games last season, will continue to negotiate with the Red Wings until arbitration hearings begin in two weeks. Nyquist, 25, could ink a deal before the arbitration hearings take place. Ferraro had one goal in three games with the Red Wings last season. He scored a career-high 27 goals with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
