Russian Security Forces Hunt For Suicide Bombers Near Winter Olympics

The hunt for three female suicide bombers is under way as Russian forces try to prevent any acts of terrorism against the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi next month.

According to The Associated Press (via Yahoo Sports), one of the suicide bombers is actually within Sochi's borders. Ruzanna Ibragimova, a 22-year-old widow of an Islamic militant, is at large within the city. Officials believe Ibragimova slipped into Sochi before Russian president Vladimir Putin ordered a "ring of steel" around Black Sea resort, sending 40,000 troops to keep out any invaders.

''We know some of them got through the perimeter,'' Rep. Michael McCaul, chairman of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee, said to The Associated Press. ''She's for real. What we don't know is how many more black widows are out there.'

Russian police are also looking for two other "black widows," 26-year-old Zaira Aliyeva and 34-year-old Dzhannet Tsakhayeva. A wanted pamphlet claims the two women are trained to ''to perpetrate acts of terrorism.''

The Winter Olympics open February 7 and run through the 23rd. The U.S. will deploy two warships and several aircraft carriers to the Black Sea to help evacuate Americans in Sochi should the need arise.
